PIEDRA FOR AUTODESK REVIT

From the model to the job site.

Install the Piedra extension once and use it across Revit 2025, 2026, and 2027. Setup registers the right add-in for each supported release and keeps updates verified.

BEFORE YOU INSTALL

Three things to have ready.

Setup installs the runtimes Piedra needs. You do not install them yourself, and you are never asked to run repository commands or assemble developer files. Setup installs for your Windows account and does not need administrator access for its own files.

  1. 01

    Supported Windows PC

A 64-bit computer running Windows 10 version 1809 or later, or Windows 11.

  2. 02

    Autodesk Revit

Revit 2025, Revit 2026, or Revit 2027 installed.

  3. 03

    Your AI coding tool

A supported Claude Code or Codex installation, signed in before first use. Setup never handles your sign-in.

What Setup handles for you

Piedra carries its own copies of Node.js and uv inside its install folder, so it never changes or relies on versions you already have. For the two runtimes that are shared with other software, Setup checks first and never replaces or downgrades one you already have:

  • Microsoft Edge WebView2 — already present on Windows 11 and on almost all Windows 10 PCs.
  • pyRevit — if you already have pyRevit 6.0.0 or later, Setup leaves it exactly as it is. If it is absent, Setup downloads it, so this step needs an internet connection.

If this PC has pyRevit older than 6.0.0, Setup stops and asks you to upgrade it yourself. It will not upgrade pyRevit for you, because a pyRevit upgrade re-attaches every Revit year on the PC and that is your setup to change, not ours. Setup also stops if it finds pyRevit installed in a way it cannot check, such as a command-line or source copy. Nothing is written to your PC in either case.

Uninstalling Piedra never removes WebView2 or pyRevit, because other software may depend on them.

INSTALLATION

Installed in four clean steps.

Piedra installs for your Windows account and does not need administrator access for its own files.

  1. 1

Download the current stable Setup file from this page, then compare its SHA-256 checksum if your organization requires it.

  2. 2

Close Revit and any open Piedra toolbox window before running Setup.

  3. 3

Confirm Windows identifies the publisher as Worthunion int'l agency inc, then complete the guided installation.

  4. 4

Open a supported Revit release and start Piedra from its registered add-in command.

REMOVE PIEDRA

Leave cleanly. Keep what matters.

Normal Windows uninstall is deliberately data-preserving. A full purge is a separate, explicitly labeled choice so uninstalling the extension never silently destroys your settings or project work.

Normal uninstall Available

Remove the extension. Keep your work.

Close Revit and Piedra, then open Windows Settings → Apps → Installed apps, find Nail It Revit, and choose Uninstall.

Removed

  • Package-owned program code
  • Revit add-in registrations
  • Update cache and staging files
  • Installer and update logs

Preserved

  • Settings under %APPDATA%\NailIt
  • Workspace and project data

Retained data stays on this Windows account so reinstalling can restore your setup. Normal uninstall does not upload it.

Full purge Explicit option

Erase retained current-user data.

Full purge is a separately labeled command-line uninstall. It removes only ownership-verified Piedra data for the current Windows user and never runs as part of normal uninstall.

The full purge includes

  • Configuration and local credentials
  • Queues, workspace files, and project data
  • WebView data and other retained current-user state

Run from Windows Terminal

Setup download:

.\NailIt-Revit-<version>-stable-Setup.exe -uninstall NailItFullPurgeCurrentUserData=1

Direct MSI deployment:

msiexec.exe /x .\NailIt-Revit-<version>-stable.msi NAILIT_FULL_PURGE=1

Irreversible: back up anything you need first. The purge refuses to run if ownership markers, paths, or retained-state checks do not match the installed product.
